  I frequent tandem. Get their early as they can run out of bagels. My last visit was at 2:00pm, an hour before closing they had only 6 flavors of bagels. Service varies. I personally think they put to much cream cheese on the bagels. The bagels are great. My favorite is the pesto bagel and vegi cream cheese. I have only ordered a few sandwiches from them no issues with them. The sausage egg and cheese on a French toast bagels is amazing. I usually get a bagel and soup. The soups have always been good. I get an iced coffee with my bagel. Coffee is OK, usually a little bitter. Biggest issue with tandem because of how busy they are and size of the restaurant there always a lot of shuffling around when it is busy. There is no easy way to run a line of 20 people in that space. Will be back one of my favorite places in Western Mass.

  I actually really like Tandem for the most part, as well as the location & the employees. the service there is usually great and generally pleasant & the bagels are very good, and they have some of my favorite breakfast sandwiches anywhere. can't speak for the coffee as I have not had it but I've heard it's OK. I'm not going to give Tandem a bad rating or even speak badly of it due to it being busy - because I'm glad they are doing well - but a lot of the time unfortunately with the waits it's just not worth it. I've gone in and they've had 2 registers going and the lines move along OK - then there's times I've been in and there's been 1 register open and a line of 25-30 people. no exaggeration. so you wait a long time to order and then just as long for the food. to get 1 breakfast sandwich, I have had to wait 30-35 minutes all together and I wasn't even the unfortunate people in the back of the line wrapped around the entire place. then when you're waiting for your food, there's not really anywhere to stand and wait as there's people everywhere + all the seating is usually full. if you're in a rush, on your way to work, or don't like very crowded/small places - I recommend trying the place out but be warned. generally, never come here in a rush, especially on the weekend mornings - you WILL NOT get in & out quick unless you're very lucky. try calling ahead of time & ordering and maybe you'll save yourself the trouble. they have free water, though, which is always a plus.
